Timeline
- 1912: Howard-Cooper Corporation “HCC” was founded by W.G. Howard and D.I. Cooper as a manufacturer of horse-drawn construction equipment.
- 1957: Howard-Cooper evolves into a multi-line heavy construction distributor serving the construction, logging, and mining industries throughout the Pacific Northwest. Product lines included Dresser International-Hough, Galion, Wabco, FMC Link-Belt, FMC Woodlands, Moxy, Timberjack, and Orenstein and Koppel.
- 1983: Howard-Cooper creates a government sales division focusing on governmental sales contracts.
- 1987: Subsidiary called Precision Engine Specialists is formed specializing in repair of heavy diesel and gas engines.
- 1991: Through financial restructuring, Link-Belt Construction Equipment Company founded LBCE NW.
- 1992: Mike Hildebrandt founded Triad Machinery, which was a partnership between Mike Hildebrandt and LBCE, operating 4 locations in the Northwest (Portland, Eugene, Seattle, Spokane).
- 1998: LBX was spun off from LBCE to market & sell excavators. Triad remains LBX distributor.
- 2001: Purchased by Link Belt Construction Equipment Company becoming a wholly owned subsidiary.
- 2006: Triad opened a new branch in Prineville, Oregon
- 2008: Triad becomes Tigercat Industries distributor for the Pacific Northwest.
- 2017: Triad Machinery celebrates 25 years.
- 2018: Triad opened a new branch in Mt. Vernon, Washington
