Our Link-Belt Cranes

Don’t know what type of crane you need for your job application?
Here are a few places you may see cranes working today.

Rough Terrain Cranes

Rough Terrain Cranes (RTC) are hydraulically self-propelled mobile cranes are mounted on an undercarriage with four rubber tires designed for pick-and-carry operations to be used in off-road conditions or “Rough Terrain” conditions. Compact and versatile, an RTC is the right fit for confined areas. Rough Terrain Cranes are equipped with a hydraulic telescoping boom. Steering, drive modes, and crane functions are all operated from a single operator’s cab. These RTCs can be found working on construction sites where ground conditions are rugged, bridge and road projects, general contracting construction, utility, and infrastructure work. These machines are the centerpiece for most crane rental outfits. These cranes must be transported from jobsite to jobsite on a lowboy trailer. Triad Machinery and Link-Belt Cranes offer nine (9) different RTC in their product line-up with capacities ranging from 50 – 160 U.S. tons.

Hydraulic Truck Cranes

Hydraulic Truck Cranes (HTC) are truck-mounted “on-highway” pieces of equipment. They consist of a hydraulic boom and upper mounted on a truck carrier chassis. Outriggers are used to level and stabilize the crane for hoisting. When equipped with all-wheel steering packages, the HTC is then referred to as a Hydraulic Truck Terrain Crane (HTT). Link-Belt Hydraulic Truck Cranes can reach highway speeds of 62 mph allowing them to make it to multiple job sites in one day. These HTCs can be found doing taxi crane work and crane rental. Other applications include loading and unloading pieces of equipment, pouring or setting concrete panels. Triad Machinery and Link-Belt Cranes offer six (6) different HTC/HTTs in their product line-up with capacities ranging from 60 – 110 U.S. tons.

Hydraulic Truck Terrain Cranes

Hydraulic Truck Terrain Cranes (HTT) are truck-mounted “on-highway” pieces of equipment. They consist of a hydraulic boom and upper mounted on a truck carrier chassis. Outriggers are used to level and stabilize the crane for hoisting. These cranes come equipped with all-wheel steering packages, allowing the HTTs to move in extremely tight job site conditions. Link-Belt Hydraulic Truck Terrain Cranes can reach highway speeds of 62 mph allowing them to make it to multiple job sites in one day. These HTTs can be found doing taxi crane work and crane rental. Other applications include loading and unloading pieces of equipment, pouring or setting concrete panels. Triad Machinery and Link-Belt Cranes offer three (3) different HTTs in their product line-up with capacities ranging from 75 – 110 U.S. tons.

All Terrain Cranes

All-Terrain Cranes (ATC) are hybrid between a hydraulic truck crane and a rough terrain crane. These truck-mounted cranes have the benefits of fast speeds on public roads but offers superior off-highway mobility. These cranes have features including hydraulic suspension, rear steering capabilities, and additional axles to disperse the weight of the machines to meet regulations for highway travel. These ATCs have outstanding lifting capacities and transportability. All Terrain Cranes are perfect for remote construction sites with no road access such as oil and gas pipeline installation, thick precast concrete work, steel frames, and heavy lifting application. Triad Machinery and Link-Belt Cranes offer three (3) different ATCs in their product line-up with capacities ranging from 175 – 275 U.S. tons.

Telescopic Crawler Cranes

Telescopic Crawler Cranes (TCC) are cranes mounted on an undercarriage with a set of tracks that provide stability and mobility. Telecrawler machines have multiple track configurations, thus eliminating the need for outriggers for stability. Unlike lattice crawlers, Telescopic Crawler Cranes use a telescoping hydraulic boom for hoisting applications.TCCs are often described as a versatile machine due to their telescoping boom, strong pick and carry capacities and improved ground bearing pressure.. TCCs are great cranes for foundation work (pile driving and drill rig support), oil and gas production, barge work, and general construction. Triad Machinery and Link-Belt Cranes offer five (5) different TCCs in their product line-up with capacities ranging from 50 – 250 U.S. tons.

Lattice Crawler Cranes

Lattice Crawler Cranes (LCC) are cranes mounted on an undercarriage with a set of tracks that utilize a lattice boom for lifting. These cranes are designed for maximum reach and maximum capacity. The fixed boom length is raised and lowered by cables instead of cylinders. The lattice crawler crane is the best crane for large jobs requiring maximum lift capacity at long radius. Lattice Crawlers are excellent pieces of equipment to build bridges, roads, wind farms, and other utility projects. Lattice Crawlers have the ability to work with special attachments such as clam shell and draglines. Triad Machinery and Link-Belt Cranes offer seven (7) different Lattice Crawlers in their product line-up with capacities ranging from 80 – 300 U.S. tons.
